“We had interviewed several agents and were just not connecting. After 5 minutes of talking with Laurie we knew we had found our agent. She was knowledgeable about our area. Explained pricing and how it connected to mortgage approval in our area. She talked about great features of our house that no one else had. And that was just the beginning. We have bought and sold 5 houses and have never had such an amazing agent who really made us feel like she had our best interest at heart. She was direct, told us what we should and shouldn’t do in staging. Calmed and reassured us when we were unsure. When offers came in She gave us sound guidance and advice and was an advocate for us with the other agent. Talked us through things we needed to think about. The pictures, write up and video showed our house off and had multiple offers above asking within 36 hours. Everyone else had told us to list $20k below the price we set with Laurie. Amazing. “We had the privilege of working with Laurie for the purchase of our forever home.

We hoped to find a real estate professional who would be knowledgeable, reliable, and honest with us — we received all of the above, and so much more with Laurie.

We worked with Laurie during the 2021-2022 COVID-afflicted market. We were out viewing properties for just under a year.

Laurie put up with our challenging schedules with grace and answered our multitude of questions (by email, text, and in person) with the patience of a saint. Booking visits with less than 24hrs notice was commonplace and despite her packed schedule, we felt as though we were her only clients. There was never a time Laurie couldn’t fit us in, and never a meeting we felt was cut short by her next appointment.

Communication was incredible. We got so used to instant replies to both text and email, that we’d get worried if so much as six hours went by without hearing back from her! We were spoiled, but deeply appreciative in what was a rapidly changing and competitive market.

Laurie’s knowledge and experience in the Ottawa market spoke for itself from the moment we first met her. We interviewed three recommended agents via viewings to get a sense of how they approached a home; when we walked through the property with Laurie, it felt like we were walking around with a home inspector! (NB: Laurie steadfastly insists that her opinion does not replace that of a professional inspection). Laurie’s depth of knowledge, attention to detail, and experience in the Ottawa market gave us the confidence we needed to rapidly evaluate and make decisions when time was of the essence.

During the final negotiation process, we received her advice and opinions, but never in a way that felt pushy or prejudiced against whatever number we were prepared to offer.

Ultimately, we feel very fortunate to have had the chance to work with Laurie and have recommended her unreservedly to family and friends. We expect to keep in touch with her moving forward for all of our real estate questions and needs.”
